Prolific integration guide

Launch your study to tens of thousands of trusted participants in minutes. Recruit niche or representative samples on-demand. The Prolific participant pool is profiled, high quality and fast.

Adding Prolific as a participant source

By default, new studies are set to use a Public participant source. We can choose to change this source or add a new one. In this example we'll be changing the Public source to Prolific but we could just as easily add it as a new source (thus keeping the public source).

  1. Navigate to Distribution and then Participants (Figure 1).

    Figure 1. Participant source settings

    Figure 1. Participant source settings
  2. Click on the Public participant source and select Prolific from the menu (Figure 2).

    The study link should look something like this:
    https://www.psychstudio.com/s/460?psref=prolific&PROLIFIC_PID={{%PROLIFIC_PID%}}&STUDY_ID={{%STUDY_ID%}}&SESSION_ID={{%SESSION_ID%}}
  3. Go to your study on Prolific and paste the study link into the "What is the URL of your study?" field (Figure 3).

  4. Paste the redirect URL from Prolific (Figure 3) into the Completion link field on Psychstudio (Figure 4).

    The completion link should look something like this:
    https://app.prolific.co/submissions/complete?cc=8062EAEE
  5. Click Save. (Figure 4).

Now all participants who arrive from Prolific will be automatically recognised and when their study is complete, will be redirected back to Prolific to be awarded credit or marked as complete.
