Trials screen

The trials screen provides a spatial view of the visible trial constructs for editing screen layout and style. A screen consists of a grid made up of rows and cells with a maximum of 6 rows to a grid and 6 cells to a row.

The screen timeline

Each unique frame in the trial is plotted as an interval on the timeline (Figure 1). You need to allocate all the visual items to the grid for each interval along this timeline. Once all items have been allocated for an interval, the interval indicator will turn green, else, if there are items left unallocated, the interval indicator will be red. You can select an interval by clicking on it, or by stepping through the timeline with Step interval

Setting the screen size

Setting the screen resolution is done by clicking the button second from the left on the toolbar (Figure 2). There are a number of pre-selected resolutions in both landscape and portrait to cater for almost any device size. Hovering the mouse pointer above an item in the list will reveal more detail about the devices it should cater to.
