Instructions can be anything you wish to present, as text, to your participants, such as an introduction, consent, instructions or thankyou page. Instructions need to be coupled with a keyboard response or a buttons response in order to move the study forward. Text responses can also be recorded.
Instructions that are sub-component of a trial block and occur before a trials construct within that trial block, will also display the keyboard response legend for those trials (if applicable).
Instructions can be added to the study sequence or to a trial block. Click New item, select
Instructions from the type list and select one of the following creation options:
New: create new instructions.
Copy: copy another instructions construct from the current study.
Editing instructions text
Click Edit in the top left corner of the construct (Figure 1). To save your changes, click on Save in the bottom right corner of the editor to save your changes.

Adding a response
To add a response to your instructions, click New response. When creating a new response, you can choose to start with a blank slate or to copy an existing response from the study. Instructions need to be coupled with a keyboard response or a buttons response in order to move the study forward.
Editing a response
You can edit a response by clicking Edit on the response construct in the view panel. See the particular response construct for more information:
Removing a response
A response construct can be removed from the instructions by clicking Delete on the response construct in the view panel.
The visual layout of constructs (text and responses) can be changed by dragging and dropping within the the view panel.
