Cloning trials constructs

When conducting trials with keyboard and/or button responses, you may wish to eliminate any potential effects related to handedness by randomizing the position of response buttons or by randomizing the values assigned to response keys. In order to keep the same randomization across different trial procedures and/or trial blocks, you need to clone your keyboard and/or button responses in every instance in which you need the randomization to be consistent.

To clone a construct on the trials procedure timeline, click New item and select Clone (from a different trial) from the list provided.

For convenience and consistency, many other constructs besides keyboard keys and buttons can be cloned on the trials timeline.

WARNING: Any change to any clone will be reflected in all other instances of that clone (including the original parent).
