Factors and levels

The experimental factors and levels of your study can be managed at the root of the study tree (Figure 1).

Adding a factor

In the root of the study tree (Figure 1), click New factor, and give the factor a name and optionally a description then hit Save. Both the name and description can be edited at any time by clicking on them. Factors and levels can also be imported with text items.

Removing a factor

Factors can be removed from your study by clicking Delete.

WARNING: Removing a factor will also:

  • remove any trials rules containing any levels within the factor.
  • reset any stimulus component duration settings relating to the factor or levels within the factor to a Fixed duration mode with infinite duration.

Adding a level

In the root of the study tree (Figure 1), under the factor to which you want to add a new level, click New level, and give the level a name and optionally a description then hit Save. Both the name and description can be edited at any time by clicking on them. Factors and levels can also be imported with text items.

Removing a level

Levels can be removed from your study by clicking Delete.

WARNING: Removing a level will also:

  • remove any trials rules containing that level.
  • reset any stimulus component duration settings relating to the level to a Fixed duration mode with infinite duration.
