The lab screen

The lab screen (Figure 1) allows you to manage the transferable accounts linked to your account. This screen is only available to research, lab and enterprise account owners. Users of transferable accounts do not have access to this screen.

Add a user

To associate a user to an account, fill in the Username and Email fields on any account and click Save to start the user invite process. If an existing user is being replaced with a new user, the existing user will no longer be able to access the account. The Active? field will change status to Pending... to indicate that the user account is now in a pending state awaiting input from the invitee. The user invite process uses email and unique, single-use links to ensure tight security. When the user completes their log in process, you, as the account administrator, will be notified by email.

Change username

To change an account username, edit the Username field. Note: this does not affect how the account operates as it is only used for aesthetics (such as in email communication and labels within the application).

Change email

Edit the Email field of the account you wish to modify and click Save to start the user invite process (the same process as Add a user above). The Active? field will change status to Pending... to indicate that the user account is now in a pending state awaiting input from the user. The user invite process uses email and unique, single-use links to ensure tight security. When the user completes their log in process, you, as the account administrator, will be notified by email.

Activate and deactivate account

An account can be activated and deactivated by changing the Active? field of that account. Note: accounts with a status of Pending... can not be activated or deactivated but can be completely unset by removing both Username and Email fields and hitting Save (the invited user is no longer able to access the account). Similarly, an unset account can only have an Active? status of No.

Transfer account administration

You can transfer the administrative duties of lab management to another user by clicking Transfer administration to start the user invite process. The user invite process uses email and unique, single-use links to ensure tight security. When the user completes their invite process, you, as the (now former) account administrator, will be notified by email.

WARNING: This process gives the new administrator complete administrative control of the account, and as such, the ability to transfer user accounts, upgrade the Psychstudio account plan, etc.

WARNING: Credit card ownership and administration does not transfer to the new administrator, and as such, the original card remains linked to the email account of the original owner. If the new administrator upgrades the account, they will need to provide new credit card details which are then linked to their email account.
